STUDENTS SHOW GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP AT RECENT ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

At the recent School Athletics Carnival, students show great sportsmanship.

With the emphasis on participation, students were awarded points for their houses for all events that they attempted.

Everyone is encouraged to do their best, regardless of their sporting ability!

Mr Hyatt reported that it was a pleasure to see the school spirit both the Cox and Namoi house members displayed.

I feel we have still got the formula right a great athletics carnvial at Sacred Heart as it is family orientated, all students are encouraged to participate, try their best and show great sportsmanship.

Unfortunately there has to be a winner and NAMOI were the Champion House at the end of the day. The individual pointscore was very close with congratulations going to the eventual winners of each age group:

Minor Boy: Jeremiah                     Minor Girl: Xanthia

Junior Boy: Cameron                    Junior Girl: Molly

Senior Boy: Andrew                       Senior Girl: Miah

Students to qualify for the Diocesan Carnival which will be held in Tamworth on Friday 24th August:

Jack, Cameron, Max, Molly, Andrew, Luke, Miah

Many thanks to everyone who assisted with any job on the day. Without this help the carnival wouldn’t have been successful.
