Sacred Heart School Boggabri is committed to appropriate and responsible emergency evacuation practices.
School Commitment
The school’s policy aims to ensure evacuation drills are performed for fire and lockdown every term and documented in an Evacuation & Lockdown Drill Register. Staff will ensure evacuation procedures are followed and ensure that evacuation problems are competently assessed. They will provide effective evacuation control where this is justified and ensure that emergency evacuation practices do not pose a threat to the health or safety of staff, students or visitors to the school.
Every effort will be made to minimise environmental damage from emergency evacuation practices.
