Sacred Heart School believes that self-discipline is a basic value in our education process. Promoting positive behaviour is essential in developing good relationships between staff, children and parents. Anti-social behaviour will not be accepted or ignored. Parents and teachers will work together to ensure this for the benefit of all students.

Repeated abuse of privileges usually involves withdrawal from school activities or if necessary suspension from school for a period of time.

All students deserve to learn in a positive environment and teachers deserve to be able to teach effectively without behavioural disruptions.

“The procedures outlined in this policy apply to the behaviour of students at school, on the way to and from school and while away from the school site on school endorsed activities. They can also apply outside of school hours where there is a clear and close connection between the school and the conduct of students. This includes the use by a student of social networking sites, mobile phones and/or other technology to threaten, bully or harass another student or a staff member for school related issues.”
