School Uniform

SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY

Sacred Heart School takes pride in its uniform. Children should show in their dress, a healthy respect for themselves, their family, for other children and staff members. Girls summer uniformGood grooming at all times is important. All children are expected to wear the correct school uniform at all times. A note is required from a parent or guardian when a child is not wearing the correct uniform. This would normally be only for a short period of time.

Children must wear a school hat at all times when they are in the playground otherwise they will sit in a designated area assigned by staff.

All children are expected to wear a Sacred Heart School hat which is royal blue with the school emblem. No substitute headwear is acceptable. Our policy of

‘No Hat No Play’

extends to all terms.

The only jewellery items children are to wear to school are sleepers or stud earrings and a watch.

Only one earring in each ear is allowed. Coloured nail polish is not allowed.

Dying/Colouring of hair is not allowed.

As a safety requirement long hair is not to hang loose and must be tied back at all times. Hair ribbons, scrunchies and thin hair bands may be worn and are to be royal blue or yellow or made from the material of the school uniform.

LOST PROPERTY

We ask parents to please ensure that all clothing is clearly labelled with their child’s name. This is most important.

All lost property to be handed to supervising teacher. Children collect any item belonging to them at assembly.
Lost property will be kept in the Office for a term, if not claimed in this time it will be placed either in the clothing pool or in the St. Vincent de Paul bin.
